Doesn't matter who the band is, seeing and trying to hear music in a stadium is an exercise in frustration. The sound here isn't bad for such a setting, but I'd much rather see a band in a smaller venue. Nice Althea, much better than what I've heard of '95.
@coyote023 believe me. i wish i could have caught some JGB shows or been in the first 15-20 rows for the dead. i was 15 in 95. poised to tour but it wasnt meant to be. your point about jerry "not wanting to be there" in 95 is well taken, but i feel like he "brought it" as much as he could to the soldier field shows. def not the worst show in grateful dead history.
@sateliteoflove202 Bro jerry had been turning himself down in the mix for awhile, if you wanted to hear his guitar you needed to be in the first 15 -20 rows and by that time he just did not want to be there and he was also resting on his guitar and not playing at all. If you wanted to see and hear jerry you neede to catch some JGB shows where jerry was in great spirit or at least better spirits. He smiled and played his guitar and was having some fun,by then you took what you could from shows
check 6/19/95 Giants Stadium. my one and only jerry show. i cherish it, but jerrys guitar was inaudible through most of the show. second set especially. hes simply not in the mix at all. soldier field is barton hall compared to that.
@briandrum1 you are right i have not listened to the whole summer tour, but what from what i have heard there is not anything to write home about. Although the 2nd show in RFK was decent for the way the band had been playing. The 2nd show garcia came out for dylan:s encore "it takes alot to laugh and the other song my mind is drawing a blank after dylans set the dead came out and played a somewhat respecteble set for the "90"s.

@coyote023 You clearly haven't listened to the rest of this summer tour. This wasn't even close to worst show on the tour...
