I've never really been a big fan of hip-hop, rap, or r&b but ll and wyclef hed a special place in my heart, and I feel this is one of the greatest songs in hip-hop history.
FINALLY, mainstream(commercial) hip hop with a message to the people, not the same old bling bling bragging, "i got this, you don't" topics, damn i was waiting for the day they would stop talking about bitches, money, killing, strip clubs,$300 bottles of champange
You know, with all of the bullshit that he mentions in the video, the saddest bit of information comes right in the beggining. "Approve - 28% Disapprove - 68%"... that means there were 4% (roughly 12 million) didn't give a shit about bush ruining our country.
I heard a few tracks from this album. I don't understand. Maybe I've been gone too long. Did this southern influence really penetrate the northeast? (this song isn't as country as some of the others on this album) LL could have sat back and let his first few albums cement him as a hip hop legend... now, I don't know . . . and I see a lot of ebonically positive stuff on the interweb about these beats - maybe I should just switch to European and African music entirely.
