That sound like a good idea. I also thought about using a wireless microphone.

I have used a portable digital audio recorder in my pocket and then synced up the audio to the video in editing. It works really well.

Thanks for the info. My camera doesn't have an external mic input, but its something to put on my wish list. Perhaps next time I can mount a camera on my handlebars as well, or construct a gyroscope on a small stand.

I might recommend that you invest in a lavalier body mic. It would make your sound a lot better.
