  • hey guys just wondering is it against the law to record a landing or takeoff in the plane? please respond. Thanks!

  • @rayswin17 the airline does want all electronic devices off during takeoff and landing, but so many people do it (and there are no adverse effects of doing so) so they probably don't really care too much. Plus if anything happens to the plane during landing (God forbid) it will all be caught on tape. Just search on here "airplane landing" and you'll get so many videos of this type.

  • @DV5230US ok thanks cuz i was gonna do it when i went to Houston on sunday but i wasent sure if it was allowed. Thanks for ur help!

  • @rayswin17 anytime :)

  • @DV5230US Is it possible that the camera could somehow effect controls in the cockpit like navigation or anything similar?

  • @BranmasterG Well navigation and communication devices in the cockpit rely on radio waves to communicate. This is why devices like cell phones and laptops (with their wireless communication abilities) could interfere with those systems in the cockpit. However, a camera's just a camera, nothing more, and I really don't think saving data to a memory card will do anything. And since the flight didn't crash and I'm still alive here typing to you, I think we'll assume it's safe. =)

  • i wanna go back there...

  • Great landing love all them C-17s in the landing part of the video.

  • shit, I want to go to Hawaii

  • @rayswin17 Just wanted to say that while using a camera may not necessarily interfere with flight instruments, some airlines have rules against any type of electronic equipment (for whatever reason). I sneak out my camera from time to time, but sometimes they tell me to put it away, and of course, I do. The last thing I'd want is a confrontation with the cabin crew because if that escalates, I could be arrested, as it's a federal crime to interfere with their operations.

  • I miss Hawaii.

  • I flew on the same route & same plane in December 2009, but approached from the east ( landed on Rwy 26L - the reef runway ). I think when flying to HNL, it does not matter from which direction the plane approaches the airport, the starboard side window seats offer better views.

    Thanks for sharing ...

  • who cares i filmed it too hehe

  • @rayswin17 no its not but the reason they ask for you to turn electronics off is because the signals between the cockpit instruments and the devices can interfere with one another and give incorrect readings in the cockpit wich can be dangerous.

  • @MegaPlanelover thanks for the reply and yeah it will take about 19 hours all together but ive been to australia and that took 24 hours so i might be able to live haha
