    I suggest looking more closely at technologies for reducing postharvest losses and food waste -- it doesn't do us much good to increase production or productivitiy if we continue to lose 30 to 50% of the foods produced before they can be consumed. The goals indicated (increased food supply, reduced environmental impact, improved productivity) can be achieved if postharvest losses can be reduced.
