Police are still looking for the people who broke into a Wyandotte County home in April and shot and killed a man.

Jeffery J. Rogers, 25, was shot to death early on April 9 at a home near 84th Street and Tauromee Avenue.

Police said they think the killers came as a group, possibly four or five people.

Rogers' family is pleading for information that can help catch the killers.

"He was a good, positive son. I miss him. And I just want these people to do the right thing," said Nancy Euler, Rogers' mother.

Anyone with information in the case can call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hot line at 816-474-TIPS.

An event to raise reward money in the case will be held on Aug. 16 at Butler's Muffler Shop in Leavenworth, Kan., which is next to the K-Mart. The fundraiser will feature live music and will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

A memorial fund has been set up to help the family. Donations can be sent to the Jeff Rogers Memorial Fund, care of UMB Bank in Kansas City, Kan.

Relatives said a celebration of Rogers' life will be held later this month at his favorite place --- Bull Shoals Lake, which is on the border of Missouri and Arkansas.
