Kodak EasyShare Z980 first look

Announced at CES 2009, the Kodak EasyShare Z980 was the first megazoom camera to boast a wide-angle 24x zoom lens. It seemed a bit bulky, but we were forgiving as it was a first of its kind and that is a big lens. Of course shortly after Kodak's announcement came the Olympus announcement of the considerably tighter-looking 26x zoom SP-590UZ, which confirmed our original opinion of the Z980 being bulky. Now having fully tested it that opinion is now firm: the Z980 is a clunky unwieldy camera. The camera isn't without its benefits, though, and photo quality and performance are fairly good for its class (just not at high-ISO sensitivities).

Overlook its "Design and noisy photos" ? No, what I have to overlook is this lame-ass useless review with not one quantitative scientific shred of evidence to support your critique. You don't even know what the buttons do or explore why anyone would use them yet you critique the design? Not to mention you can't even upload this video in HD so you make us watch smear while you smear the camera. Nice.

only way someone would really care is if the area you were taking photos was illegal. hey i could be wrong.

Cameras are really all the same, even though that makes me sound ignorant on the issue. When it comes down to it, it's all about what brand you like the best.

Who gives a shit, HD video, Wide angle lense, Direct upload and Email. 24X Optical. This camera is the best on the market
