i show how to fix a xbox360 controller that constantly disconnects during gameplay. its not the batteries and it isnt the system. its the controllers connection to the batteries. loose batteries, and a loose battery housing.

*update- most of the after market rechargeable battery packs i have tried seem to fit a lot tighter and don't seem to have this issue as much.

all you need is some tape and scissors.

  • I had this problem, so i offer a solution. I found that Nyko rechargeable battery's work the best with the tightest fit.

  • Do playstation 3 players also encounter same problem?

  • @shtdragon Only when they use their N.E.S. Advantage.

  • now it wont connect at all xbox's frustrate me so much

  • @MaccaSwag your tape might be too thick.

  • It works perfectly, I only put tape on the sides of the pack because my batteries fit really tight. If it is still disconnecting you should try different tape or maybe put an extra piece on each side of the pack.

  • @SaraAB87 some of the old batery packs were loose on the inside, too. but you make an interesting point. maybe microsoft is trying. anyone find this problem with newer controllers?

  • my controllers all have rechargable battery packs and they do the same thing and they dont charge??........ do you know to fix that??

  • I had the same disconnecting problem and simply changed the batteries and put tape on the sides of the housing. That fixed it.

  • i love you man! HAHAHA! thx

  • i have this problem on a wired

  • Does this apply to weird stuff like controller disconnecting ONLY when you shoot too much a minigun/shotgun and a few other automatic weapons ?
