Sorry, I just watched it again and I have to say: the music contributes greatly to the film. Everything just seems to fit together perfectly! Absolutely awesome!

Wow! This is a beautiful short film. I really liked the message of the story (though I am not a Christian I think some of the Christian values are pretty universal). I also loved the way that the scenes were shot and put together. And the music as the finishing touch, makes the entire video all the more fantastic.
PS: I also enjoyed the discussion between berrywellpictures and seanmckeen :) It is good to see that you can keep it civilized. You don't encounter that too often on youtube ;-)

Hey Sean,
I don't look at myself the way you described. Perhaps we've had very different spiritual experiences. I will take a look into a couple of the books you mentioned, as soon as I get a chance. It might be a couple of months, becasue I'm overseas right now. But I'll be happy to let you know what I think. Until then, -David

Finally, I want to thank you for the way you take things. You seem like a very kind and sensible person, but it's such a pitty that as a christian you probably think you are none of those things except through Christ and that basically you're an unworthy miserable human being whose notion of self-esteem is fully determined by an old and dusty book. I think that's a very sad idea. Best wishes, Sean

Moderate christians read the Bible in a very selective way and interpret it by modern ethical standards, which have nothing to do with the Bible anymore. I, in my turn, would like to challenge you to look a bit further than your own christian community and also read some books that take a critical view on Christ and Scriptures, like, e.g. Earl Doherty, The Jesus Puzzle or Stenger, God: The failed hypothesis, or to watch a very good movie called "The God who wasn't there".

Hey David,
What worries me is that you don't seem to realize that what you call "true christianity" is in fact a very particular, modern and enlightened interpretation of the Bible. But if you'd examine it in a critical and unbiased way you'd see that the seeds or motivation for all those "untrue christian" acts and crimes are already present in the Bible and the teachings of Christ.
...
helplessly mawkish & pathologically sentimental. The closing credits were nicely done though ;)

Hey Sean,
"Helpless" is a good word for someone trapped by their sin. "Sentimental" is a great word for anyone who has ever tasted Christ's freedom from it. Blessings, -David Warren

David, I disagree.
The greatest sin you can commit is one against yourself and your fellow men: it's by becoming a believer and getting to live a life full of lies. I'm glad I managed to free myself from the extremely damaging, patronizing and hypocritical christian belief. Religion does more harm than you imagine. I hope you will come to realize that some day. Belief is like a drug, it promises relief, but in fact it's damaging and slowly turns you into an alienated and self-deceiving being

Hey Sean,
I don't think you give me enough credit. I've seen the damage religion can do. I've seen plenty of hypocrisy, and far too many things done in the name of Christ which have absolutely nothing to do with Christ. Gandhi once said, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
But...please read on to the next comment.

But I would challenge you to consider that there is a way of living that Christ promotes that is good for humanity. True followers are rare, but they do exist.
That being said, I am so glad that you have a mind and that you would question such beliefs. Following a religion blindly is a problem, and there are far too many who do just that. Thanks for you honesty and boldness.
Even though we may disagree, I really do enjoy your feedback.
Thanks,
-David
