Activists award Canadian embassy in Berlin for climate failure

Climate activists in Berlin today delivered a "Fossil of the Day" to the Canadian embassy, a satirical prize for countries who block or stall progress in the current UN climate change negotiations. During talks in Barcelona, Canadian delegates said yesterday they "would not envisage loss and damage [due to climate change impacts] being adressed as part of the objectives on adaptation". They also failed to say where they think this crucial issue should be adressed instead, raising the suspicion they would prefer it to fall off the table completely. Millions of livelihoods in developing countries are threatened by such impacts.
