@screechslater The video is retarded because it's using scare tactics and throwing all gene therapy into one camp of scary/bad/evil/nasty without looking at the thousands of lives it's changing for the better. This video is obviously an appeal for fear, rather than something that establishes a dichotomy between beneficial and potentially harmful uses of gene therapy. Eugenics had no desire to change lives for the better. It had a desire to control population growth of "undesirables".

Think about gene therapy in the hands of someone who wants to "cure" homosexuality or "cure" sadness. The problem lies in the hands of those deciding what "improvement" really is.
