@amsterdam78 Not my decision, kid. In any event, I don't think you have much to worry about. With how the Middle East is shaping up, I don't expect the US government will feel it needs to raise a finger against the Iranians. Most of their recent bluster seems more for show than anything else.

I expect Ahmedinejad and his puppet masters in Qom are terrified of recent developments, and are looking for someone else for the Muslim mobs to hate. All we need to do is sit back and watch the show.

@amsterdam78 Saddam Hussein was a Soviet ally for decades. When the Coalition went in, he fell without any fuss. His own people even tried and executed him. Nothing that the Leftist friends of Saddam predicted has come to pass, and now even Bashar Assad, his Ba'athist twin in Syria, fights for his throne without so much as one American soldier against him.

The Marxists are powerless to make their threats real. A liberation of Iran would be a cakewalk.

@DrCruel We never predicted the downfall of the US in Iraq, just many civilian and troop losses at great experience for Oil, and that's what happened, except now Iraq is rouge again, and we have no oil. However, Iraq didn't have a mutual defense treaty with Russia and China; which Iran does. Latest news, Iran and Russia stopped using the American dollar as a bases for currency exchange in oil. Plus Iraq never could close the strait, which Iran can.
