  • @qazwsxasdedc not really. Apart from timing and knowing which notes sound good with each chord (of course), playing bass is a lot different than guitar. The bassist wants to work with the drummer to fill in the groove behind the guitar. Led Zep, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf etc are good examples of this "groove filling".
