Well actually back in the 50's there was four grand national races at the fairgrounds Tim Flock actually won one in 55. They were mostly thou races that West Series and grand national combined so only a few of the big names would show up

I've got this race, the six wins by Bill Elliott and the two wins by Davey Allison from 1988 on tape.

Thank you for bringing back this great memory...had Alan lived, he would have no doubt won more Championships and gone down in NASCAR history as the best owner-driver we have ever known in stock car racing...he will NEVER be forgotten by his fans..........................

First win for Alan Kulwicki and first RACE for Phoenix International Speedway so this was the first time NASCAR went to Arizona to race.

too bad he died after he won his first championship, who knows how many more he couldve won.
The Polish victory lap, one helluva guy. I remember watching this race on a black and white TV in the kitchen of a relative. Ahh the memories...
