Field of dreams- Madeenah Village Co-op Society-eco-village, co-housing project by muslims

Madeenah Village Co-op Society is a new development, eco-village, co-housing project by muslims from 26 different ethnicities. We are trying to re-create the egalitarian, altruistic community with the love and brotherhood / sisterhood that the sahaba (Companions of the Prophet Muhammad- peace be upon him) enjoyed in Madeenah Munawwara (The Enlightened City) during the time of the Prophet.

The criteria used in land-search were: to be close to Olympia, WA where most of the members work in State Deparment jobs, easy access to freeway, out of the city, larger acreage, higher elevation to avoid flood-plains, easy access to water and electricity. We wanted to be close to a place where current
construction was permissible (meaning no seize on development.) A search committee of approximately 28 people has seen and researched approximately 40 properties. Only 5 of them even came close to meeting the requirements.

Currently, we have only a few slots left. Buy-in to the share-holder, co-owner membership status is $1000.00 with final price dependant on the price of the land that we all decide upon finally. So, if you are interested or want to learn more, please send an email to ayub98516@gmail.com
