That's kind of what I intended. I was going more for the idea of seeing your life flash before your eyes; just that idea that she relived her life in her dream and woke up having to decide whether she'd made what she wanted of it.

@OhhMyApplePiie Uh...Luke loaned Lorelai thirty thousand dollars. He wasn't poor. He just wasn't materialistic. He was happy with his flannel shirts and jeans, his beat up truck, his apartment above the diner. Just a basic guy.

I don't think he understood her like he thought she did, she had a lot of problems and a lot of baggage and when things got messed up with April coming in and all the secrets they hid from each other, they knew it wasn't going to work, but he never gave up on her, begging her to marry him and even planning a secret party for Rory not because he wanted to get Lorelai's attention or prove anything to her but because he wanted to do it for Rory.

looks and money aren't everything, sure he's not perfect, but all in all he was there for Lorelai more than chris ever was, he treated Rory like his own daughter when he never had to. In my opinion that means more than how much money a guy has and how he looks.
