Just in case you get tired of hitting your dashboard to make it work.

If your car persists in ejecting the cassette, you may want to take the rubber piece mentioned and rub it against a surface, much like a eraser on a table, to smooth it out more.

  • can someone help me, i have the EXACT same one shown in the video, i tried your method on the video and it didnt work, it keeps making that clicking noise. :[

  • @Exsentric I tried moving out the centre cog before, but it didn't work (for me at least). Someone recommended putting vaseline or some type of lubricant on the cogs to reduce the noise back in the comments section somewhere.

  • wat excatly did u do to the part u removed

  • @TheMitchellhart In some cases, that part isn't smoothed well and at times blocky which restricts its ability to spin properly effecting the other cogs. Cause of that, the tape gets ejected. There's other ways to work around tape problems- this one way worked for me.

  • just take the big center cog out, it wont make the clicking sound.and longer and will play flawlessly then u dont have to adjust that rubber band.

  • @boutdempapers I tried that. /: Didn't work for me. I guess different adapters have different cures.

If you have a protective cover over it, it usually prevents the jack from plugging in all the way. If it has an equaliser, you may want to adjust that. My last guess is that if you're using those fatty headphones, and you're using the wrong jack converter- either 1.5 or 3mm.

One thing unique to ipods is the ability to adjust the sound to play exclusively on one specific earbud. This may mess with your cars audio system.

  • @stelthmunky well what i found out was, that it might not be the tape, i put a different tape into my car and the same thing happened, it kept rewinding so now idk, it might be the radio

  • @stelthmunky Thanks what i did was take that bit out and the middle cog, worked like a charm.

  • I found this video very helpful, thank you stelthmunky.

  • @ekulrialb which cogs are talking about? the BIG main 3 in the center that u can put ur finger in or the smaller ones that stelthmunkey took out? thx

  • is it possible to make your own cassette adapter? it's hard to find at my place.
