No cameras are allowed in the building during the dog auction. I was reminded of this in the parking lot following the assault and ejection of a young female protester. It was very apparent that the auction scenes inside weren't going to be available for a humane, dog loving, public. It's difficult to believe this is happening in a state thought of as a leader in setting standards for animal husbandry. Clark County WI has become a nesting ground for the Puppy Mill Industry and the dog auction, in part, facilitates processing this industry's waste.

  • Just goes to show what kind of country we live in. They can video tape you, but you can't video tape them...wtf?

  • They sell a hole bunch of thing here and all the sudden people get all mad and crazy just about dogs. I live in Thorp and I think the protesters are just damn retards.

  • This was in 2008 and no comments? I'm sick to my stomach on this auction places. ugh they need to be shut down and the cops didnt do anything?! I'm so pissed off

  • @noerww it is most certainly NOT a dog show. The Thorpe WI dog auction is an auction for puppy mills to sell their stock to other millers.
