  • Hi, Why do you add the extra olive oil on top???

  • @franice01

    For undiluted flavor.

  • Can I add sesame seeds instead of Tahini?

  • @rxmusic1 : We know folks who have but we have never used it so really can't tell you if there is a difference in flavor or texture. If you do try it, pl. let us know how it worked out :)

  • its an heresy to use canned chick peas!

use fresh one and boil them with soda power. Tip from the middle east

  • You are absolutely right! We were just offering a quick shortcut, but if you have the time, soaking and boiling is the best way.

  • @babanaglis

Why is the soda powder used? We make a lot of hummus at home but never heard of this.

  • @TheEgyptianOne salaam, hmmmm thats a wierd comment, i didnt knw u had to be frm a certain country in order to teach others about the worlds delicious foods,im not indian or middle eastern, just a down to earth american muslim who enjoys food from all over,,,,great work ladies, love all of ur recipes, inchallah i will be making some for ramadan this yr :)

  • i love to eat Hummus :)

    i like

  • Hummus yummus! ;)

  • For people making this for the first time, you may want to only use 1 tablespoon of tahini, taste it, and then decide if you want more or not. Too much will make it taste bitter/sour.

  • Am egyptian and I love cooking all type of food...my favorite Indian food chicken bryani and tandori chicken ......thank you ladys

  • @TheEgyptianOne FYI they did put garlic in it at 0:58.And I don't think there is a law

against making dishes that are not from your country. My dad is from the Middle East

and I tried his Hummus and Hetal and Anuja's to me they tasted the SAME.And

thats not how u spell Indians!!

  • Mmm I love spicy hummus with pita bread & baked chicken -3
