@STREETER2576 one of two problems. either your hard drive is a NTFS and it needs to be a fat32 or you didn't seperate by folders with Video

hey iv gone out and baught a WD My Passport Elite 500g (external harddrive) any way iv put all music, movies etc etc on it but for some reason it doesnt show up on my xbox 360 let alone my tv ..............................

@vettacossx actually u can play games from ur external hard drive now, it's not just for movies and songs anymore so ya might want to update the info on the video. i've seen people have game saves and whole 360 games on their externals and play them on their 360 and no they never jtag'd their system or modded anything. just thought you should know unless you didn't, nice by the way.

my brother told me that playing videos from external HDDs on stuff like Xbox or Playstaion can damage the files and the HDD. do u know if this is true

@ciscodisco9 it supports what the 360 does i got the OPTIONAL MEDIA UPDATE so mine supports avi xvid divx mp4 mpeg wmv wma mp3 ect ect ect
