Savithri is telugu (Andhra Pradesh) which as a matter of fact is not really different too. As the traditional tamil country has had constant interactions (migration, marriage among the royal families etc) with the people from modern day andhra through-out the history.

Hi guys, we also worship Murugan in Kandy, Srilanka. You see we're not so different from Srilankan Tamils in many ways. Sri Lankan Tamis are closely related to the Sinhalese(sharing a common gene pool of 55%) and to a lesser extent to Indian Tamils. It's proven bitter fact! Anyhow this actress Savitir or something, from Kerala right? Isn't it Malayalam offshoot of Tamil? What is history of yours tells you? Chera(Malayalese), Chola, Pandy right! ha ha see you people also divided!
