I got stuck in a field using this tri-axel trailer and a Td5 90. Partly due to the jockey wheel not being stowed properly by the person who hitched the trailer up & also due to the 90 having bog standard 205x16 road tyres on it! I swapped the 90 for mine Defender and tested the ability of the "anti stall" to see if it had any guts? and it had!

  • if he had a proper trailer he'd of been alright haha,

  • @GERAINTJW, I did it was a Graham Edwards stock trailer!

  • @DingleZilla there's your problem you see, should' ve bought an ifor williams,

  • @GERAINTJW, Fair comment since there had been a lot of issues with the winding mechanism for the decks, winding handle & brakes if I recall correctly. The trailer has been replaced with a Hudson 14 footer from Acorn trailers. I have to say also that all the trailers I have personally owned have been Ifor Williams, for one reason, quality! All the best young man, DZ.

  • Hello DingleZilla, nice presentation there indeed. Hopefully that German Shepard of yours doesn't end up giving the wheels a drink on your nice little rig, like he did to the last one that were doing a presentation on.

    Cheers, Yehudi

  • Hi Yehudi,

Many thanks for your kind words young man. Saxon has indeed baptised the wheels, it costs good money to make him piss, water isn't cheap! You may note the "nice little rig" is now someone elses problem. I got rid of it after too many problems with it!

    Regards,

    DZ.

  • Pity Clarets couldn't finish the job off the other day, but even so to get 3 back from 5-0 down was a gutsy performance. You would expect their heads to have gone their arses, but they fought back instead! Landies are great, not sure why they put that Tranny engine in the Defender? The Jag V6 in the current Disco would have been better & its reliable with no issues!

  • @mrsoupdragon

    Super Super Clarets.

Thought id get me bit in.

Top machines r the landies, cant knock em... outstanding beast.

  • Hello young man,

I had a similar thing on a previous 90. But that one fitted to the top of the frame of the back door by way of two small grub screws. It was indeed a good idea. However, on this 90 the spare wheel is mounted on the door and blocks the view! Not that it matters, I have since got shot of the motor because of relibility and replacement issues with Land Rover! But thanks for your comment it may be useful to other viewers. Regards, DZ.
