@TheInstantClassic1 Actually no, the Arklay mountains incident and Raccoon city was completely different. Raccoon city was caused by a USS team tasked to steal the G Virus from Dr. Birkin, which turned disastrous. While that happened, some T Virus samples were spilled, and mice drank them, before biting some humans.

It's rather ironic because Marcus actually DOES have his revenge on Umbrella. It's all because of him that the events in Resident Evil transpired and because of that, the virus eventually spread into Raccoon City which lead to it's destruction which began the downfall and the eventual closure of Umbrella. Of course the guy didn't realize he also left a opening for the eventual rise of Albert Wesker :P
