  • I don't know the exact translation, but I know that the song is about a Hawaiian maiden who catches the eye of a Hawaiian chief who she doesn't like. The chief orders her to marry him and, on the day of the wedding, she leaps to her death from a cliff. A windmill (or "water wheel") now stands at the spot where she supposedly jumped from, hence the name of the song.

  • You don't happen to know what this song translates to do you?

-I know Ka Huila Wai means The Water Wheel, but I'd like to know what the song is about or some extra Hawaiian to English translation on the song if you know it by chance! Good job with the karaoke!!

    Excellent song choice!!
