This whole "relic" craze reminds me of the 80s era EVH craze where everybody modded their guitars. routing for humbuchers and floyd roses, basically ruining their guitars. This is like the same exact thing.

whooaaah what's all the anger about bro??? Don't blame Gibson -- they are merely responding to a market that exists for their product. PEOPLE HAPPILY BUY THESE. Blame all the "vintage" fanatics who are driving the market for aged-looking instruments. As far as the actual cost, well it's a hand-done process and requires time and skill which is ALWAYS expensive regardless of the product. Murphy's no asshole -- he's just giving (some) customers what they want

Honestly I would never Relic a guitar unless It was: 1 A custom guitar I was building 2 A really crappy guitar ( Finish problems ETC) People relicing Gibsons,Fenders,Prs's Sorry but I think your nuts. I have a custom Guitar that I put together and when I bought the body, it came in the mail with scratches in the clear coat, So I did a small amount of sanding, But most of the Relicing is from me playing the guitar. If you want a Beat-up guitar, Throw/kick the damn thing! Dont pay this tool.

i remember them as "Faded Jeans" very comfortable as oppossed to the uncomfortable new pair of levi's. (stiff as a board!) i would have my mom wash them w/ alot of fabric softener...but it would take mths till they were "Broken in"
