The second part of my Friday night drive through Pennsylvania's Coal Region. In this video I make it through Ashland, Mt. Carmel, Kupmont, and Shamokin. I also drive through the infamous ghost town Centralia, which was abandoned due to an underground mine fire that started in the 1960s and will continue for another 500 years. Between the 60s and 80s the town was bought out by the government, its residents evicted, and the buildings razed. Now the town is completely empty save for a few lonely structures, its weed-cracked side streets and sidewalks sill visiable.
The music is Steve Hackett covering his old band Genesis's "Fly on a Windshield", and the second song is his "Darktown".
