I found painstakingly similar theme on Deadmau5's tune FML when compared to Kewler's demo Protozoa (2003, http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=9471).

These are the results.

EDIT: As it turns out, the Kewlers' tune was not entirely produced by Little Bitchard, but by Mel Funktion as well.
Apologies for miscrediting.

  • Plenty of people here confusing the tools with the process..

  • @TheLittleBitchard Yes, since there hasn't been any sampling :)

  • BTW, it's "Voila", not "Viola". A viola is a string instrument, a little bigger than a violin.

  • @joemaffei You are very correct, however this was on purpose :)

  • this is the saddest excuse.... funnily enough, i know and respect kewlers work, (tho i havent heard much of this lil bitchard guy) sounds cooll 2... but sure... does sound like... if you change the key, timbbre, and pitch....) but i guess you can mod anything enough to sound like anything else...

know what "plagiarism" is before you even bother imho.

  • @Chev427BB nah it's just respectful to acknowledge external sources used in your work

  • @alkenstein Because those three seconds are crucial to the success of this track

  • I wouldn't go hating on an artist because of it though. As long as you can acknowledge where you got your sample from, and not copy off someone else's work completely (eg. taking a videogame midi, adding a drumtrack and calling it a remix).

I mainly dislike deamau5 for his attitude towards other artists, and to videos such as this one. I honestly don't give two shits about who ripped off who, as long as the artists (or the commenters in general) don't chuck a tantrum over it.

  • This happens a lot in music, if you hear all the different 90s songs using the riff from Maxx - Getaway (there's an example on my channel). A lot of people sample others' work, Lapfox Trax is another good example.

I will agree with you though, deadmau5 is kind of an overrated douche.

  • I love that both Little Bitchard & deadmau5 directly commented on this video. This is one of the rare cases where the comments on a video are more awesome than the video itself....

  • @TheLittleBitchard A comment from the man himself! Respect!

  • @hannahbear0 It says 2003 in the fucking VIDEO DESCRIPTION.

  • @hannahbear0 Firstly, it is maths, you stupid American cunt. It is plural. Secondly, protozoa was released in 2003. Fucking moron.

  • Deadmau5 released that entire album in 2008

    Kewlers were in 2010

    Do the math..?

    And some research next time

  • To avoid any future complaint/remark, the bassdrum in the soundtrack of the Fermion demo by Kewlers comes from a samplepack CD by Deadmau5 :)
