Wish I could have been there with you. Flying medevac and pulling young Marines out of a hot LZ and getting them to the medical help they needed was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I wonder how many lives the frogs have saved over the years. I was with HMM-161 in Vietnam, 1969-1970. Semper Fi.

@Mouse0667 This was shot in 2004 during OIF. At the time, 161 was deployed to Al Taqqadum and flew casevac and raids. The birds have since been painted grey. Metal shop and hydraulics have consolidated, by the way.

OOH RAH I supported that unit at Al Taqaddum in 2004 when this video was made. Those were the days. Lots of good and bad times. SEMPER FI 161 and MWSS-374

When was this shot? I flew with 161 during Desert Storm but our birds were desert colors, I know because I was metal shop and helped paint them.
