Paul Simon is one of the best contemporary song writers of all time. He and Mark Anthony did a good job together. Anthony's voice is excellent. This song in particular: Bernardette is so good and moving that I am amazed it is not played more often. As a matter of fact, I listened to it for the first time a couple of months ago; I was really surprised to know that it was part of a Broadway play. Why the lack of promotion at the time?

This song is very underrated. I really love it.

@bargle1991 The Vampires, Satin Summer Nights, Quality, You Fucked Up My Live, Adios Hermanos, Can I Forgive Him, Esmeraldas Dream are very good as well.

Very uplifting! The 2 voices blend together very well

He has every right to come across like a know it all. Nobody can sing with such passion and have a chip on their shoulder for no reason. He just cares about the planet, and I'm sure for him its a real battle to be an optimist. I bet sensitivity never goes away from him, even when he feels ice inside.

And you sure don't come across as a pretentious asshole.

The musical was a piece of shit - but great song. Simon often comes across as pretentious and a know-it-all asshole, but when it comes to songwriting, you can't deny that he's one talented son of a bitch. I'm such a big fan of his - rock on Paul!
