On April 20th, 2007 Jan Brander set a new record (60+) at the velodrome in Alkmaar (Sportpaleis).
He broke the old record 41,719 km (set in 2004 by Franco Gagliardoni) with 43,369 km.

UCI did not permitted to use a four spoke wheel. It must be a traditional wheel however an other one who did the same as Jan used a four spoke wheel.
