  • I'm going to Vacaville on Friday. I should hit up Fentons while I'm there.

  • I had fenton's today. i was blown away! best ice everrrrrr.

  • goin there tomarrow

  • I always thought Swensen's was the most famous ice cream shop in the Bay Area. I only heard of Fentons a year ago. I will check it out the next time I am in the area.

  • Crab Sandwich (best sandwich EVER): Buy ONLY Dungeness crab. Get ALL crab out of legs, body, claws (worth the effort). In bowl add mayo to crab (like tuna fish). The KEY is the toasted SWEET sour dough. You butter ONLY the outside of both slices and toast in a frying pan until golden. Cut iceberg lettuce into thin strips. Place a large portion of the crab mixture on the non toasted side of bread and top with lettuce. Serve w/ sweet pickle chips and favorite chips. It would be my last meal!

  • My mom took me to Fentons beginning in 1964 after visiting my Aunt who lived a couple blocks away. I LOVED the grilled balogna sandwich. In High School we'd drive in from Walnut Creek and get a Chocolate Shake and Crab Sandwich which used to cost $4. Back then we'd walk past the long line and sit at the counter. We felt so cool! Then on the way home we would slalom through the cones at the Caldecott tunnel. Try a Black & Tan w/all toasted almond ice cream! Make crab meat sandwiches at home!

  • i'm so hungry now...

  • @glenntey -they even have the pinoy flavores ha? that's nice.=)
