On some sequences we see the poor Victor, already ill... :-(

@sottythesecond I also remember Victor on the Waltons too.It was the episode where him and his wife onscreen had adopted a little boy and I didn't recognize him at first because he didn't have a beard at the time.

@normalguyable Good point. I probably wouldn't be able to do it...
Fruits and Veggies are great. I know you never said they were a cure-all. I'm just not sure their diet would've saved them much even if they were lifelong vegans.
I hope you agree a good diet is not the only part of a healthy life. IMO that also includes no tobacco or alcohol either. If you're a vegan but smoke and drink heavily there's a strong chance you could still die.

@Supertron5000 fruits and veggies we grow to eat, the healthiest thing for us. we dont kill them, we murder billions of cows, pigs, chickens, etc. every year for our taste buds, work at a slaughterhouse for a minuete and see the horror yourself. plants dont breath or bleed or cry or love, dogs,cats,cows,etc.. do just like we humans do.

@normalguyable That is interesting. I wasn't disputing what you said really, i just wanted to make sure you also kept in mind Victor French smoked heavily. Even vegans who smoke can get lung cancer. Overall tobacco is just unhealthy, even moreso than eating meat.
And about the murder thing. Veggies are living, as they are plants. So technically no matter what we as humans kill to eat. It's not the same really, but we still must kill the veggie to eat it.

@Supertron5000 vegans have the lowest rate of cancer, fruits and veggies fight cancer, eating murdered animals contributes to it. thats why landon became a vegetarian when he was diagnosed, but it was too late.
Those were the days! Take me back to the 70's and 80's. I grew up in that era. A child of the 70's and a high schooler in the early 80's. TV today is not the same. It has all of that crappy reality shows and all that CSI junk. There is no quality shows today period. I was lucky and fortunate enough to grow up in a decade(s) meaning the 70's and 80's, to watch better quality programing shows. Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven are my top favorites.

I completely agree!
I've grown up in the 90s. I wasn't able to experience Michael Landon and his wonderful shows. But I have to say they are by far my favorite shows today!
Thanks for watching and for your feedback :)

this is great--and comforting--sad tv has come to discomfort; shallowness-and "who's the hottest" reality shows-which has no value--we have tv executives--whom are pill-popping health nuts who don't really have a clue what most people want to watch-which is good shows with a plot--something THEY know nothing about!

I couldn't agree with you more!
Michael Landon entertainment is desperately needed today.
(If only more people would just watch what he has already given us!)
Thanks for watching!! :)
