@TacticalSoleSurvivor first off let me say that most (if not all) of these assets are acquired through federal grants...a completely different pocketbook than the officers are paid from. Secondly, if the citizens feel the officers lack the maturity to use something that can do little more than protect them from being shot, I wonder how they feel about them carrying guns? Sounds to me like having them laid off is a good thing...no?

@WGTactical I live in Merced County just one county south of this one. I am against the use of these transports for a few reasons. First, Merced PD that owns one of these laid off 34 officers out of a force of 99 for a city of 75,000+. Simple put, we can't financially afford SWAT or its toys. Second, hostages are always family members of the husband who kills himself before SWAT even suits up to go. Third, the citizens of this county don't think our PD has the maturity to use it.

The turret is where the ADS will go, correct? Why won't you tell everyone that Homeland Security paid for your new toy? You can't say no to blowing taxpayer cash on forming your homicidal, steroid fueled killer squads? The generals in Afghanistan shipped their ADS equipped vehicles back to the states, they won't use that kind of weapon on our countries worst enemies, yet DHS & Waffen SS type U.S. SWAT teams won't hesitate to use it on American citizens.
