@MikeeHun Yes you can connect with the vsphere client to your local esxi server and create a virtual machine, install, configure etc. Is this what you mean ?

I can't install ESXi with VMware Workstation. It says Hardware Virtualization I ignore that, it says 64bit support I ignore that but then it says CPU is shutdown for this virtual machine, power off or reset. Anyway around this?

@PaRoDiEr1993 What version of VMware Workstation are you using ? What is the hardward on your host system ? Is your OS 32 or 64-bit ?

@sysadmintutorials I'm using VMware Workstation 8 and the last 7. And I've kind of figured the problem, I can't install ESXi 5 but as far as I know an earlier version of ESXi I can use. A new question I have is what IP configuration do I use for the server?

@PaRoDiEr1993 you can use any ip configuration on your local subnet so that you can make a connection.
