David R Merry as Officer John Fordham in Brinx Matt The Greatest Heist

Officer John Fordham was murdered whilst undercover during a police surveillance opperation in the Kent countryside, at the home of a known criminal in 1983. The criminal stabbed him at least 10 times in the back with a large kitchen knife. Some very disturbing scenes in this reinactment from 2004, broadcast on British televisions CH4 ...... David was childhood friends with John Fordhams 2 Sons "Graham & John Jnr" however, this fact was unknown to the production team! And yet, he was cast for the part without ever having an audition! A very spooky twist of events, as David had not seen Johns 2 sons since their Fathers murder! And further to this strange filming episode at Bushey University, when David arrived for make-up that evening, He bumped into one of the other cast members "Ronnie Fox" aka Ronnie Hill, who was to play the part of "Perry" one of the murderers friends! .... This in itself doesnt seem strange, but Ronnie was one of Davids School friends, and lived in the next street as a child, they each had no idea the other was an Actor, and hadnt seen eachother since 1983??

He killed somebody else in that so called road rage incident. So, i like to think that police had failed very badly with this man. How much more did they need? Do you see a Rolls every day, with the trunk open, because it is loaded with an industrial gold smelter?!?! Only that, the suspicion of, was more then enough to get him sentenced, and longer then 16 years!!
