  • We are saved by grace through faith, NOT by any works that we can do - EPH.2:8-10.

HEB5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of ETERNAL SALVATION unto all them THAT OBEY HIM.

There is no "eternal security/once saved, always saved". After a man is saved by grace through faith, God asks us to obey Him by keeping His commandments.

1John2:4 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, IS A LIAR, and the truth is not in him.

  • True Christianity is about obedience and love to God. Jesus said, “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”John 15:10 The heavenly angels keep God’s commandments Psalm 103 “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments.” And with the rich young ruler, Jesus said, “If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” Matt 19:17

  • @strivetoenterin We are saved by grace through faith not by works as you have quoted in EPH. One who's truly saved will have eternal life and will obey Christ, not to perfection because that is impossible but you will know by their character and Love for Jesus. There will be stumbles for the saved, but they will never fall away for good. If someone says they are of God but leaves the Church, he was never saved to begin with (1 John). The problem is our lazy nature, we need to be told to obey

  • For a man may say to you, “You and I have faith; I have works. Show me your faith without works, and I shall show you my faith by my works.” James 2:18

  • What's this sermon called?

  • James 2:14 - 2:26 - Faith and good works go hand in hand. If you don't have faith, your works aren't good, even if they appear to be. If you have faith, your works aren't always perfect, but God sanctifies us over time so that our faith, heart, and works all improve.

Once a person is TRULY saved, not a false proclamation or an empty alter call, that person will be sanctified by God. He will go through trials which make him stronger and prove his genuine faith. God promises. 1Peter 1:3-9

  • @strivetoenterin that's what the Pope believes.

  • Simply put; without works there is no fruit. Yes we are saved/redeemed by grace through faith, but we also must bare fruit. I'm not talking about the fruit of the Spirit, but rather fruit worthy of repentance. You don't work at the fruits of the Spirit; those are gifts. You work at showing that you have repented by following God's commandments. THAT is what living like Christ really means. Any satanist can fake the fruits of the Holy Spirit externally -even satan himself can do that.

  • @Born2bRedeemed LOL. thx. I had a lot of greef with that 2 b honest :P With my poor spelling, I accidently wrote it with an o.....LOL I actually don't worry at ALL :D
