September 2009, (back when the game was still in beta, where bugs are to be expected) user Bali posted an glitched ingame screenshot in the “Off topic” part of the official forums. The notable thing of the screenshot besides the scambled graphics was that the minimap (normally at the bottom left) was replaced by Blacksmith. A user responded to the post with the now famous quote, "Want to look at your map? TOO BAD ITS ME BLACKSMITH!!!"

Or in another situation.

Occurances like that made people post things like "TOO BAD ITS ME BLACKSMITH" on the forums and what not.

Actually, its based off a comment Rokman made on the forums. There was a glitch where instead of being able to see your mini-map, you could only see blacksmith's face.
"You want to see your mini-map? TOO BAD ITS ME BLACKSMITH."
It evolved from there.

It was before flaming hammer did anything but DoT, so there was no point.
Plus it was just from an actual game.
