  • I used to be able to hear both WWV and WWVH early in the morning hours local time, usually on the local frequencies. I forget what time of year it happened to be when i was heard them.

  • What frequency were you listening to, and at what time of day, when you recorded this? Thanks.

  • @ventures58

Seriously, there is some something kinda hypnotic about them...

  • @uLIVEBYITuDIEBYIT It indicates that UT1 is six-tenths of a second behind UTC.

  • BTW, I've always been curious why the double click from :09 thru the next few seconds. What does that mean?

  • Wow, Jane Barbie.

  • oh please

you can copy WWVH all over North America

WWVH at 5 Mhz is running 10 kw in to a very good antenna system

  • Here on the west coast of Canada it's common to hear both stations, and WWVH is usually louder in the evening.

I've heard BPM, JJY (defunct) and VNG (defunct) in the background. One memorable morning VNG was loudest on 5 MHz, with WWV and WWVH down in the noise.

  • At home, I only get WWV, but here in florida, i get both. I never head the lady's voice until I came down. I love her voice, it sounds better than WWVs man.

  • 0:25 - National Institute of Standards and Technology Time.
