AV Mats are designed to absorb vibration and noise from common household appliances such as washing machines, tumble dryers etc. as well as a wide variety of other relatively lightweight machines such as treadmills. We do not know of anyone that has used the AV Mats in the way that you envisage but think it will work in principle. If you try it, please give us feedback.

This is a great example of the products airborne sound reduction capabilities, do you have a real world sample of it's impact noise reduction performance? I am suffering really bad impact noise from the premises above and would welcome any suggestions together with costs from you.

    Thank you PB.

A 'real world' example of the QuietFloor Plus performance at reducing impact noise can only be taken with a customer's co-operation in their house/flat which is expensive and not easily arranged. The test report we show is conducted in a soundproof test chamber to assess its true characteristics and in the case of our QF+, on a timber joisted floor rather than the usual concrete floors.

Impact reduction performance to be effective must be below 62dB and as you can see, the test result for the QF+ was 39dB so substantially better. However, if impact noise is your only concern, you could use our cheaper 10mm A10 Acoustic Underlay instead and this has a test result of 34dB so even better. Have a look at the A10 product on our keepitquiet website.
