Denny Carmassi is one of the best drummers in Rock and Roll. His opening riff in "Rock Candy" is equal to "When The Levee Breaks" as one of the greatest drum riffs of all time. His snare drum should go with him into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He still plays lean and clean - watch him go 32 bars without a fill, just DRIVING the music with only his snare, hat, and kick! And lesser drummers use their entire body to get the strength that Denny effortlessly gets out of his forearms. Nice guy, too.

Don't forget Bill "THE ELECTRIC" Church on Bass!!! Church can carry the Bass with the best of them!!!

There's one HUGE problem with this reunion - I wasn't there! :-(
The Awesome Foursome!

Agreed! Carmassi would rival Bonham and Pert. This guy is amazing. I have seen him many times and plays hard, fast and with a driving force. Impeccable timing. He and Ronnie Montrose are two of the gems of under rated musicians.

Why isn't there an official DVD release of this historical reunion concert?

Fuckin' A. Carmassi is in the top drawer of rock drumming. The band sounds great! What else can you say?

montrose , best thing sammy ever did

The signature guitar riff in the middle of "Rock The Nation" has to rank in the top 4 great guitar riffs of all time. That one and the riffs from "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin, "Never Before" by Deep Purple and "Badge" by Cream really stand out for me!
