This dark comedy stars Joe Pantoliano as Elliot, a self-professed loser driven back to his hometown by failed dreams of becoming a published author. Supporting himself selling suits at the local mall and relying on hand-outs from his mother, ex-wife and son, Elliot publishes a weekly newsletter on the perils of self-delusion. Perversely content with his low standing in life and unrealized ambition, Elliot's forced to examine his lack of accomplishment when his old friend Richard, a successful film producer, comes to visit and acceptance of disappointment gives way to jealousy.
