Here's the Yoshi Mountain rope tow, set to open Winter 2009/10. All it needs are a few tweaks, some snow and boys willing to brave the hill (I'm in!).

  • Tension is through a winch at the bottom, attached to a tree. It's the only way to get enough force on the rope. I tried counterweights but there's so much weight across the length of the rope you need something anchored.

  • tensioner?

  • questions about the rope, how much was it per foot ($)? how long is it? what kind and thickness of the rope? and whats powering it?

  • this is one of the better ones ive seen on here, theres alot of poorly built / unsafe ones. im building one this winter too, hoping to use a 6.5 hp gas engine.
