This theme and the last 2 years of SOMERSET were the CLASSIEST of all. Soap Opera History will prove that ANOTHER WORLD and it's spin-offs had the most lush music, camera work, and when you watched, it was almost like a PBS or BBC clarity and quality. That NBC color on our old giant RCA sets made you feel like you were there (in the Brooklyn studios). Even BOLD & BEAUTIFUL and YOUNG & RESTLESS cannot match this...thank you so much for posting !

@goldsox1231 They were desperate. You're right in your perceptive comment. It was a lost cause but keeping their trademark MAY have just made a difference.

After 45 years, I don't think I ever heard the whole thing! Glad they played homage to this theme and closed with the entire version on it's last airing. Thanks for posting!

Because ABC had bigger ratings than all over soaps at the time.

They should never have replace the interlocking rings All My Children and Days never place their trade mark themes and As The World Turns did not either that's what made people watch the shows after all if its not broken don't fix it just updated it.

Gorgeous tune. Haunting, yet beautiful. Classic soap opera themes of the days when soaps were on top in the ratings.
