  • ahahah thanx for watching, I still think we need a better way to manage offline IMs, like being able to send IMs to peoples inworld without logging in! Just thought it'd be fun to show you this, and oh, it doubled as a rendering speed test.

  • such ppl are called attention whore :)

I believe Torley break down if there no 50 messages

  • Lmao that was funny!

  • Damn i feel sorry for you man xD

  • The Learning Center is bad about sending mass notecards and landmarks. It's SO annoying. I feel your pain.

  • I'm in a couple of groups that aggregate notices (fashcon and some music event ones) and I never can log in without about 50 notices to wade through, plus whatever spam notecards got dropped on me in the night. I have IMs set to email, so I get about a dozen of those, too. I feel your pain!!

  • haha yes... you have to warn them that you're not actually in world. It also helps to remove the extra characters from the end of the email, so it doesn't clog up their IM window in world.

  • lol lots of mags

  • We are watching Torley logging into SL everyone!

  • Well as long as you received an offline IM on email to start with and are able to reply with an email to that specific temporary address then you can send an inworld IM that way.

SL email got a delay of about a minute as far as I know but for emergency replies it works fine. The address works for some days before it times out. I can't remember how long anymore.

Oh and if you do it that way it helps to tell people you are on email so they don't get confused why you show as offline. ;)
