@WayneKotke What's ironic about that? I don't think their version of this song is one of their better recordings, but they obviously are in a very different class from me when it comes to musical genius, or--at the time they did the recording--in terms of youthful energy.

the whole song is mostly based off of c shaped Dom7ths right? or am I completely off?

The basic chord shapes are all from the Rev.Gary Davis/Dave Van Ronk style (Dave was my teacher and friend, and Davis was his). Essentially, what would in first position be the C7, F, and Bb shapes, with the thumb coming around the neck to get the 6th string for the F shape and the 5th and 6th strings for the Bb shape.
