Date is sometime in 2003. Kevin Rose demoes a modded Xbox running XBMP 2.3. He's a bit n00b but overall a great clip. Today XBMC is what you should use to watch media on your Xbox ;)

  • .I miss TechTV/The Screen Savers

  • I miss my modded XBox, worked great up until the day it died on me...but I still use XBMC on my PC to this day...

  • G4TV can suck a cock...I miss TechTV/The Screen Savers

  • I'm still using XBMC on my xbox. I've got one built in 2002 that can actually play 720p at a reasonable framerate.

Until I get a proper HD tv my xbox(s) will continue to be my main media players.

(Then of course I will build an HTPC and use XBMC still)

  • very astute comment by leo laporte when kevin says "best third party xbox application" and leo responds "best media center application i've seen ANYWHERE"... considering the fact that XBMC was a great program even back then, it has subsequently evolved into a multi-platform app, and it continues to be one of the highest rated & most popular media centers even after users moved away from the old xbox to newer hardware.

  • yea but about xbox he is kinda a noob

  • Who you calling a noob? Kevin Rose isn't a noob, he knows a shit ton of stuff. Type in his name in Youtube and find some stuff.
