G.K Chesterton was a Catholic(at least by conversion). Although I have read something of C.S. Lewis, who was a great christian writer(Church of England, I believe) and have profited much from his writings(esp: "The Four Loves"), I must take a look at Chesterton. BTW Lewis never uttered a word against the Catholic Church to my knowledge. In my Catholic seminary years, the only "outside reading" recommended was "the Four Loves". It's final chapter on "Charity" was, perhaps, Lewis' "finest hour"!
