Denice Frohman ("Ms. Misconception") performs "Gansta Poetry"

Her diverse background creates a distinct voice and a unique platform for her poetry to explore major themes such as: identity, heritage, language, women's rights, equality, hip-hop and social injustices. As a former Puerto Rican professional basketball player, Denice Frohman also straddles the worlds of both sports and art, inspiring her to challenge and address traditional gender roles, as well as chronicle her experiences as a female athlete.
