David Gage Realist and Fishman Full Circle upright bass pickup test. The First is the Realist and the second half of the recording is the Full Circle. Both pickups can sounds different on different basses. The Full Circle pickup installed threads down. Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 used for the recordings, it's preamp has 10Mohms input impedance. No Eq, compress or other tweak on the records.
La realist de Gage daña la tapa (reversal grain) y no es perceptible pues el daño lo cubre la pata del puente.

hm.... both sound crappy (have used both on gigs)..Well, it's a opinion. Also there are several cheaper solutions (at least 60% cheaper than Fishman) that offer the same plastic sound. So far the best result I've got (I mean: natural bass sound) was using the Revolution Solo II (Upton Bass). Really nice, cheap, easy to setup and remove to use on other bass and sound almost like a mic.

I guess it will hugely depend on the amp and the setting but on this great clip the realist sounds like mud and the fc is reproduces the db sound nicely! That is why I swapped my realist for fc. Thank you!

Appreciate this very much! You do us a service. :-)
One small comment: Someone not paying close attention to your note could get confused, cuz just as the audio transitions to the F.C., a big picture of the Realist appears! :-D
