The idae of the show and the novels are amazing. I hope someone remakes this with a darker feel to it and phylosophical like the comics.

This show is so fucking stupid, poorly acted, horribly outdated special effects even for mid 90's, over theatrical, even the wardrobes are ridiculous.

Now will someone explain to me why I still like this show after all that.

Actually alot of "cyberpunk" stories and things were being looked at and chosen for televising and movies back then (Wild Palms, Tekwar, XFiles, Harsh Realm) because video games were getting better, there was alot of hype around Virtual Reality and Cyberspace and with concerns of TekWar, Marvel was also making a comic based off the stories.

The 'Clean' cyberpunk look found in this and Minority Report were refered to as "Ikeapunk" by me and my friends.

I don't mind a short series as long as it has a decent ending, the last episode was okay I guess. Jake finally gets over his freezer burn, wins the loyalty of Bascom and put away some evil villain that's been trying to get revenge on Bascom. But it didn't really feel like a proper happily ever after kind of ending.

I loved this show!!! It was like 'clean' cyberpunk. I liked how all the buildings had glass and inside gardens, and the advertising which follows you sling the highway is sure to happen in the near future. And Shatner rules! If he actually did write the books and not just put his name to them, then he's actually got some skills. Would happily rewatch Tekwar. There was a PC game that looked fantastic for its time.
